Rosevale Quebec Q16(PS) is a Maverick son, bred up from a Brahman base. This influence,
although watered down, is obvious as he is four generations from the original Brahman cow.
The Quebec calf crops are particularly consistent and his calves have a high classification rate.
Their fertility traits are obviously a strength and they are quiet. He possesses curve bending
growth - high early but moderating at maturity. Cattle breeders on tougher country often
look for this maturity pattern because growth is high to a marketable age but daughters
retained in the herd are moderate framed, efficient animals that require less fuel to remain
productive. As a result they continue to breed through a range of seasonal conditions.
Quebec’s first seven sons sold at auction last year to average $13,285. These included Thaiday
T110(PP) who sold for $20,000 to the Dangarfield Stud.
